To infinity <3

Deja vu (: Campfire on Friday night was nothing but the best night that I’ve had in the longest time! Reminded me yet again of our own Orientation last year, and possibly even better (: Everyone was in such a mood to sing/dance/cheer and the entire central plaza was just rocking :D Kudos to the juniors for being so awesomely enthusiastic this year during campfire – I could totally feel the spirit in the atmosphere! (Rhyme unintended.)

Our junior class won the faculty performance and did Apollo proud! Now that’s what I call a tradition (: I spent all night uploading this on youtube okay! ENJOY (:

And just for memory’s sake, 09A14’s winning campfire performance 2009! <3

From facebook: Part 1, Part 2

All 7 days of Ad Infinitum was a roaring success – yay 36th! :D Now it’s left with our last two events, CNY and Eleco, and I’m pretty sure they’ll turn out just like our 5 other events – nothing but the best <3

I’ve got a feeling (:

Full Orientation week! After War Games prep last night I went to Starbucks for a while with Ben/Pres/YJ and got impossibly high on coffee (or maybe just on physical exhaustion). Haha it was damn funny – we were talking about something super interesting! I remember we were trying to widen our eyes without raising our eyebrows (omg try it) and when we left, we met Remus/Estella/Rensyn/Des downstairs and couldn’t stop laughing though there was totally nothing funny about it?! Haha I thought the coffee would have affected my sleeping time or something but the moment I was on the bed I just fell asleep omg, too tired.

Today we spent like almost an hour or so sitting at the central plaza being totally crazy after learning the Apollo fac dance :D Made up chicken songs/cheers, played random games, got entertained by Don’s freestyle dances… Haha it was fun anyway, like when will we ever get the time and mood to do such things again right! War Games in the morning lasted for just half an hour, but the time that we took to set up and prepare during work sessions/the night before/early this morning can safely be like twenty times that! Totally 台上十分钟, 台下十年工, sigh. I was running around getting hoses/connectors from the garderner before it started, and got so tired even before the games began, haha.

Haha I love Shawn’s senior-meet-junior video that we showed them :D Reminds me of all the fun times we had (and still have) as A14! I really love our class yay <3 Now the angel/mortal letters are starting to fill up the whiteboard ledge just like last year, the juniors are all busy learning the fac dance, and preparing the winning campfire item - how awesome is that!

I’m not going running today because my legs feel like they’re about to fall off. The first day I’m breaking my routine, but anyway I gave myself one buffer day since I ran 4 times in the first week (: Haha and plus my tan from Orientation games under the sun, maybe I’m going to start looking more athletic :D

For you, a thousand times over.

I kind of really regret abandoning my (leisure) reading habit ever since Sec 3 or so due to other busy parts of my life ): I haven’t even read The Kite Runner yet! But I fell in love with this phrase from the first chapter omg (:

Anyway, OG days have been really great fun – it’s totally like reliving our own Orientation again especially leading OG31 with YJ! Our OG members are really warming up to the group and enjoying O1, yay (: I was doing Quidditch yesterday for the games part of the programme, which gave me a really gross shirt tan and rosy cheeks :/ I tan quite easily actually, sometimes it’s a cool characteristic to have (:

Get well soon BFF! (: Haha you’ll enjoy your sexy voice once it gets to that stage! For now please don’t try to sing or talk or shout can omg. Okay so far my jogging routine has been going good (: Going to get back to proper work now cause tuition marathon’s tomorrow ):

Okay, I decided to come back to writing here since I’m home exceptionally early today anyway, like I realised that miraculously I had no reason to stay in school past 2.30pm. I’ve kind of been waiting for my blog stats to go down. I think Emily’s doing her tricks on me again, so I don’t feel particularly ecstatic right now… [Just deleted a chunk of angsty stuff I typed out, not suitable for public consumption.] Actually, I forgot what I wanted to blog about in the first place so this is getting quite pointless.

On to happier-sounding things (: I just came across my horoscope again which was from the first 2010 issue of 8 Days this year. Some of the things there are somehow beginning to make more sense and sound like they’re about to come true. I’m not sure if I want to believe it so much actually. Just a strange coincidence that I’d read it again today! There were some “major” things that happened since I last posted on OH, but anyway I’m just glad that they’re all over and that things turned out even better than before probably (: I really believe that things happen for a reason.

This is January, the month of many babies, so HAPPY HAPPY 18TH BIRTHDAY to Mel Ho, Denyse and Andrea! <3 Really enjoyed that nice dinner by the river on Thursday with class people (: I’ve said this many times, but I hope that many many years from now we’d still have the same enthusiasm to hang out together and meet up regularly! J2 is going to be so shortlived, I can just feel it. It’s like the last taste of proper school education I can get, if you know what I mean. Then we’ll all be going our own ways and all that, which intimidates me really – thoughts about the Future. (Suddenly my H3 Lit stuff is making so much sense in such an apt way.)

Going to start on a jog-2.2km-on-alternate-days routine (: Someone slap me if I don’t stick to this until mid-February at least, cause then I’ll have to start getting prepared for Blocks!

I guess all things have their own space and time.

Destination HC!

Open House was such a fun event! Saw so many people around and felt such great school spirit in the atmosphere (: Plus there was a lot of time to take really nice photos throughout the day and talk to a lot of juniors/seniors/friends! Very shagged from carrying goodie bags and doing mass dances and doing random tours for people, but feeling awesome that OH 2010 was such a success!

The day didn’t exactly start out very well though; it just made us think about a lot of things at once, which I’ve already been thinking about in the background of my brain for the longest time actually. Today someone asked me if I’m looking forward to this year being over… but I don’t think I am. I just want to wind time back to J1 all over again! I’ll never ever regret coming to HC (:

Met Gemma at Starbucks yesterday for a very nice htht! Haha I will always appreciate the fact that even in the most terrible situations, having a friend in the same boat as you, going through it together and encouraging each other is always the best feeling in the world! <3 Cause we know we’ll have each other to lean on when we have to be braveee, no matter how hard it is to deal with. Maybe one day, when we can look back on this and laugh, I’ll show you my 5-page long diary entry which I wrote after I got home!

Get well soon!

This goes out to: the person who couldn’t make it for work session today (for the millionth time you should totally go and see a doctor about your lungs soon) and to the person who breathed in a piece of styrofoam today and as a result puked like more than 5 times I bet ): It’s damn worrying to have two friends of mine not feeling well at the same time! You two please drink more water and sleep properly so that you won’t be like zombies on Monday omg.

Anyway Council chalet was fun really! The first night was exciting, I slept for like less than 3 hours I think. Had a makeshift bed in front of the TV while waiting for our Macs supper, then went upstairs to talk till morning! (:

Love you Promco girls! <3 The ones who kept the committee going yeah (:

And our DAYS piggyback photo! Okay tuition marathon tomorrow, off to sleep! Night, world (:

Re-posted this separately to prevent lame misunderstandings -.- No particular significance whatsoever to my life or to anybody’s life okay, don’t start speculating omg, I just like the quote!

Hmm the most fun I had today was at the inner plaza for a precious fifteen minutes or so! <3 And the Central Plaza is finally done omg, no more dusty school! And because of the smooth tiles you can see the reflection of the wings when they’re wet so it looks quite picturesque (:

Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the trees. The boys don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples that are on the ground that aren’t as good, but easy. So the apples at the top think there is something wrong with them, when, in reality, they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

The second day of 2010 was awesome because I got two books from Kino! I haven’t been buying books in ages omg, and today I got my SAT study guide and a Lit book to read so I’m really quite satisfied. I wasn’t planning on coming online actually because I wanted to be studious + determined for once and just read my new books without touching the computer. But I guess coming online in the end was necessary! I’m super lost in the NSE msn conversation omg, cause I’m typing Council chalet attendance at the same time for the uncle with the flu that transmitted through msn to my nose as well ): And the first conversation that popped up when I signed in was from someone who was waiting for me to be there, and I’m glad I was! Hope you’ll cheer up soon and feel better about life, just trust it alright <3

Tomorrow’s the first tuition marathon day of 2010!

2010!

Within the last twenty minutes of 2009, I penned down ten new year resolutions in my diary while watching the 2010 countdown on Channel 5! I’m so going to be out watching fireworks next year at midnight on 31 Dec, when I’m 18 (:

  1. ACADEMICS! Get As for As without being negatively affected by the competition/pressure around.
  2. FRIENDS <3 that the old/new friendships I have now will last forever till we all get married and have children and grandchildren (:
  3. Appreciate family.
  4. Strengthen my faith!
  5. Give my very best for Council in the last 6 months of our term, and be a good role model for my fellow councillors and the 37th juniors! Hope I haven’t let you down 36th (:
  6. Keep fit and slim so that I can go back to dancing after As!
  7. Think and plan for my future, whether it involves teaching, journalism or psychology… just a few thoughts (:
  8. [Haha this one shouldn't be public.]
  9. Enjoy the BEST memories in 2010 and make it an amazing year!
  10. Stick to the above resolutions and not abandon them halfway through the year -.-

I loved loved loved 2009 (: It’s like another part of my life took off when I came to Hwa Chong! I can’t describe how much the past year gave to me. And of course, I don’t ever want to forget pre-2009 either (: Sorry if I’ve been MIA-ing from anyone’s lives; people are forever complaining that I’m always too busy for them! I’ve revamped my room wall, realising that like only 26% of the photos involve non-HC people. But I guess it pretty much sums up my 2009. So this resolution, to keep everyone in my life as far as possible despite whatever 2010 brings, comes under #2 and #3!

So last night while I was lying on my bed still receiving/sending new year messages, I looked at my wall and felt contented (: Thank you guys for making my year! 2010’s just going to get better. Sigh, still trying to get used to the fact that it’s a brand new year now! Even after switching all the calendars in my house and everything it’s still gonna take some time (:

last year as in 09 right

Season of giving <3

Celebrated Yunyi’s birthday with her on Tuesday at the CCK swimming pool (: I’m still like some tortoise in water, swam very slowly and my goggles refused to stop fogging! Only did about 5 or 6 laps with a lot of rest time in between them. Haha and I got even tanner omg. I love colour accent, don’t you (:

Took a bus to Lot 1 and got postage stamps. Yunyi wanted to take a picture of the calendar that they had on their wall, so I told the lady at the counter that it’s her birthday :D Today when I went back with my mum to get one more set of stamps she recognised me and asked “Did you come yesterday? You look different!” – my hair was probably neater today cause I tied it up (: We had cheesy pasta for lunch at her house that day cooked by her mum; it always reminds me of the very first GSY sleepover that we had, when we were still neoprints noobs haha! Happy birthday bestie (:

Mummy got back from Thailand last night and so I went to do my nails today, they’re purple now! Haha leftover post-Prom hype maybe. Played badminton with Pubco in the afternoon haha, it was quite a good workout! And the first Pubco outing I’ve actually been to (: Sorry I couldn’t join you guys for dinner! Bad joke about me being attached when I was leaving the place though, tsk!
